Maybe I Really Do Look Like I'm 12!?

Today my doorbell rang and the man at the door asked if my Mom or Dad was available--and this isn't the first time. It's not even the second. I told him "I don't know, but they live up the street so you can go ask them."

A Weekend at the Ranch

For the holiday weekend we went up to the Ranch. My kids loved playing with their cousins. We had fun going on Rhino and motorcycle rides, fishing and jumping on the tramp. Here are a few pics--unfortunately I didn't take too many.

Faith's favorite thing was climbing up and down the spiral stair case.
Jesse and Zeke (the lakes are normally full, but there were some difficulties I guess)

A Day Out With Thomas

Last Thursday we went to go see Thomas. Jesse loved seeing him and all the animals and fun that came with him.

They had a little petting zoo with such a cute baby donkey and llama, although it was pretty stinky. (this is the momma donkey)

Amy and Gabe's Baby

My newest nephew, Ivan Gabriel Riot Williams, isn't he cute. I love the fur on his back. My kids were both super fuzzy.

I found this feature on my camera by accident. Kind of fun.

I'm An Aunt Again!

I am now an Aunt for the 50th time!...well I lied I guess with my two, only 48th. 30 on the Galland side and 20 on the Hoopes. Far too many birthdays that I will be forgetting.

My sister Amy had her first last Thursday--Ivan Williams. He looks just like his handsome Dad. They said that he was 5.5, but when he left the hospital he was 6lb. 9oz so probably not. But he is healthy and happy and it is so great that Amy finally gets to be a mom. Congrats Amos.

Changing To Invited Only

Hello all, I am going to change my blog to "invited only". I know I am a party pooper, but hey, it feels more safe. I have been wanting to do it for some time, but have mostly been lazy. Everyone is still welcome though--even if you are just a friend of a friend of a friend. Or some random, but sane stranger. If you don't think that I already have your email, email me at chelseahoopes@mac.com. Cheerio to all...

Twins Or What?

I found some pictures of Ben's mom when she was a baby and I was blown away at how much she looks like Faith--right down to bum "cheakies." Even their hands are the same. Is it just me? What do you think?

Any of your husbands travel for work?

If you have a spouse that travels a lot, Flight Aware is a fun tool. You can just put the tail number of the plane in and it tells you where it is, where it's going, and how much time is left. I use this to gauge when I should plan on dinner. I also keep my eyes peeled in magazines and TV for famous peoples' tail numbers--you can track their flight history back 3 months. John Travolta's 707 is N707JT.

Jesse Style

Jesse's new favorite position to watch TV in. I'm not so sure the cushion is loving it. And his latest demand is to watch "baja"--a short documentry on the Baja 1000.

Happy Mothers Day Yesterday!

We had a great Mothers Day yesterday. Our Bishop was out of town so I actually had a husband on Sunday--no meetings in the morning and no having to stay after church. Ben was also able to take Faith during church and I got to listen to my mom's wonderful Sunday school lesson and go to Relief Society--it was kind of weird not to be roaming the church halls for 3 hours. Then after church I took a nap for about 2 hours and then my Dad made spaghetti for all of us. It was what every Sunday should be like.

p.s. I got a new car!

Children's Discovery Museum

For those of you who are in Utah, the children's museum at the Gateway is amazing! My kids loved it. It is geared towards teaching kids about different occupations and nature. We went up with my Mom and some cousins. Jesse has asked me every day since if you can go to Salt Lake. If anyone wants to go , let me know and I would love to go again.

Weekend Getaway to Saint George!

For our 4th anniversary we decided to take a trip to Saint George. No kids and with Ben's broken hand, not even any motorcyles. The weather wasn't that great, but we had a great time sleeping in, going to movies, swimming, and hiking. We were so looking forward to getting away, but of course as soon as we left we started talking about how cute the kids are. It really was great though to have no schedule and nothing to get done. My parents suprised us by letting us take their fancy pantsy convertible too. Beats the truck any day.

You always have to find a way up to the highest point!

Really a scary picture of me, but look how beautiful this place is.

Family Night Hoopes Style

For family night we went on a Rhino ride from Deer Creek Dam up past Cascade Springs. It was such a beautiful spring night and the air was so warm. The kids loved it and we did too. This is just one of the reasons why we love living in Utah--recreation just 15 min. away.
