Guardsman's Pass

For my birthday, I chose to go to Park City via Guardsman's Pass to see the leaves. It was beautiful to say the least. I think the changing leaves is the best birthday present, and I love taking time each year to take it all in. We also went to Ruth's Chris and it was extra special because they had an $89 Summer special for two. So we got twice the food and spent a lot less then I thought we would. The view out the restaurant was amazing too. Such a great night.

South Fork Party

Last Saturday my brother York invited us all up to his land up South Fork for a birthday breakfast. The leaves were amazing!

Brithdays, Birthdays, Birthdays!

September is a month of birthday's around our house, not only is it Ben and Jesse's on the 21st and mine on the 22nd; but I also have so many immediate family and friends in September.

For J's birthday we had a "boy" party at Kangaroo Zoo. Considering how sweaty and smelly they all were, I think they had a good time.

More Phone Pics

My Cute Boys

Wyatt was smiling all day today. I really need to bust out the real camera.

And last. Today I went to the park with friends and the kids. Wyatt woke up hungry, so I went over to the pavillion to nurse in the shade. About half way through I heard Faith crying and my friend brought her over and said she thought that she hit her mouth on the metal ladder. I gave her a kiss and a hug and she was quickly happy. Well, it wasn't until this afternoon that I noticed there was a big chip out of her front tooth. I panicked a bit not knowing what could be done on a two year-old, and I was dreading her living with this scary tooth for the next 6 years. I called my dentist and they told me to come right in.

To my surprise she thought the whole experience was a party. She got to sit in the princess chair, pick out a movie (Nemo), put on headphones, wear a pink nose ( the gas), and she even got a prize at the end. She just laid there, opened her mouth wide and let the Dr. go to town. I was amazed. My stubborn girl was being so compliant. Now thankfully she has a great looking tooth. Let's just pray the nerve wasn't damaged and her tooth doesn't go gray. All and all it wasn't such a bad experience. So if you want a good dentist, go to Jon McDonald!

So you know how artsy photographers display their fabulous "polas"? I am going to start a new series titled, " "--I can't even come up with a clever name, but I am a new fan of the camera phone pictures. Even though the quality is horrible, I find myself capturing many more candid moments on my phone, then I do my camera. Somehow I have my phone right next to me far more often then my camera.

So here are the first camera phone shots:

Next time we will show Jesse's work. He is an animal with the camera phone.

The Old and Young

My big crush came into town last night and got to meet his newest great grandson. Any of you that know Ren, know why I have a crush on the man. If Ben continues to inherit even half of his goodness and love of life then my life will be endless happiness. Ren embodies every thing that is good, kind, hardworking, genuine, intelligent, gentlemanly. And I am so excited that my kids have him to look up too.

2 Weeks Old!

Yesterday I took Wyatt in for his 2 week check-up, and despite having to be pricked 3 times to get enough blood for his PKU test, he handled it like a champ.

Stats:
8 lbs 11 oz
21 1/2 in.
( Can you really grow 1 1/2 in two weeks? I'm thinking someone was off at some point.)

He really has been such an easy baby--mind you it's only been 2 weeks. He sleeps great, and no fussy periods. I am crossing my fingers that it sticks. He has even done a few genuine smiles at visitors. We love having this little addition to the the family.
