So Ben is out of town this weekend down in Saint George with a couple of buddies, and I have been griping the whole week about it--maybe because I wanted to go too, or because I am pregnant and hormonal, or because two days alone with the kids seemed utterly exhausting.
Well, now I have to admit that all the complaining was for nothing. I decided that the kids and I were going to have a great weekend and that is just what happened. They were so good, happy and fun! Today I even had to go to Costco and the mall and they were perfect. They both willingly sat in the cart the entire time. And then at the mall we had no strollers, no diaper bag, no coats and it was great. We just strolled the halls holding hands. No rush, just there to enjoy ourselves. Tonight I even dared to take them out to dinner by myself. We were having so much fun we even walked down to Borders, got a hot chocolate, and each picked out a book. The day was great. I can't remember a weekend where everyone was so happy. And I think it was all because we just decided that things were going to be fun and easy no matter what.
Now lets just hope a lesson was learned.

Chels, i am SO excited you are preggo!! Congrats! I think you should wait and have it be a surprise baby....it was the funnest thing i have ever done! Do it, do it, do it! Im glad you are starting to feel better...its no fun to be sick! Let me know if you need anything..like a play date!

I tried your baby counter thing and it says I am 23 weeks. It is pretty off, so not sure if you knew that. Anyway, I am excited for number 3. I read the comment above. Are you really going to wait to find out the sex? I could never do that. Anyway, I should be up in Utah a week from Sunday, so we gotta go skiing. I heard the snow has been unbelievable. Oh I hope we get into Utah.

Isn't it great how sometimes you get just what you needed like a peaceful fun weekend with your kids when you are pregnant and dog sick!

ben would look dead sexy in a sweater vest. i really want to plan a trip to st.george with you guys. we're going next weekend for my dads bike race, then to durango for a ski trip then grants going to AZ for a golf trip - so the next month is out, we go to Hawaii the first of May... maybe the end of May? Entrada lowers their rate the end of May so that could be perfect!! Pencil it in.
by the way. whats up with the lack of posting. since we never see you anymore i need some way to see jess and faith
