Apparently Jesse does know how to share

This is how I found Jesse in his bed a few weeks ago. In the daylight he doesn't let anyone touch his trucks, but I guess his favorite cuddle buddies are an exception to the rule.

Ranch Weekend

For the 24th weekend we went up to my parents Ranch in WY. The days consisted of rhino rides, jumping on the tramp, Jesse driving his jeep, and swimming in the lake. Normally the lake is about 50 degrees and only the very brave jump in, but it has been extrodinarliy warm and all of us got in--even Faith was happy to. Jesse's favorite part was sending his monster trucks down the waterslide. Another big milestone--Jesse learned how to drive a 4-wheeler all by himself. For some reason I don't think the powerwheels jeep is going to cut it anymore. We may have to start saving our pennies for a birthday present.

Faith Must have the Crazy Automotive Gene Too

Most of you know that Jesse is a bit of an idiot savant when it comes to cars, rhinos, 4-wheelers, trailers, motorcycles and their parts. He can tell you the make and model of any truck and most cars. He knows what car each of my parents and 7 siblings drives and pick them out in a parking lot. He has memorized the names of and can point out the names of some two dozen monster trucks--"Screamin' Demon" is his favorite at the moment. He was born with it. He has loved cars from day one.

Back to the point, I am afraid Faith has it too. Yesterday, when I was changing her diaper on the ground, not having the ability to see out the window, Ben drove by in his truck. She got all excited and started saying Daddy, Daddy. She knows the sound of his car! Isn't that crazy? She only knows a dozen words, but she pays attention to the sound of Ben's car?

Apparently there is no hope of the girls escaping red-neckedness either.

A Great 4th

We had our first and great 4th in Provo this year. In the morning we went for a family Rhino ride--but I got to ride my motorcycle. Then we took advantage of several BBQs at the Hansens, Harts, and then Yorks for more food, swimming and fireworks. It was a great party with all the family. The highlight for the kids was the big go-go dancing screen. You know the one on Regis and Kelly. Like that, but a lot bigger. Leave it to York and Jen to throw a great party.

Sorry, no pics. I thought that I left my camera, but it was in the car the whole day. So sad.

I Got My iphone!

Thanks to my brother-in-law I got my iphone in the mail today. I am just downloading all my stuff. Can't wait to blog on the move! Thanks again Steve.
