An Interesting Lunch

Today we all went to lunch at the Noni Cafe. We were sitting outside when we heard this pop sound and Ben got up and ran towards the parking lot. I got up to see what the commotion was and saw that car in the parking lot all of a sudden caught on fire and smoke was everywhere. 911 was called and Jesse and Faith got such a kick out of seeing the fireman and all their trucks. Jesse was mad though because we told them that they were going to knock out the windows with their big axe, abut they didn't. The car was unlocked.

We don't know how it happened and no one was hurt but we were sure glad that our car wasn't parked next to it. The smell was awful. It sure was an exciting lunch though.

Back From Donner

We were at Donner Lake--near Tahoe--this last week with all the Hoopes Fam. I was lazy with the picture taking, so hopefully I can snag some from the in-laws. Hence just the few. We had an unbelievably great time--reading (Eclipse of course), laying in the sun, one short motorcycle ride, and the highlight was going out on the boat. Ben's brother bought a boat while we were there and we helped him break it in. Jesse was a dude in the tube, and we fell in love with wave surfing. So great for the novice surfer--an endless wave and you don't get beat up in the surf. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of me ripping it up--but I did. At least in my own mind. A 24 year-old mom of two can have her youthful fantasies right? Anyways I have decided that I can't live without a boat. So so so fun. Thanks Mike and Carolynn for all your generosity.

So Our Internet Is Out...

...but apparently our neighbor's wireless isn't. Shh don't tell, I am just using it for a second to do a new post. I really don't have anything exciting, I am really just bored but I thought why not. A few weeks ago we got our rhino overhauled--if you have a man in the house you'll get the allusion. The thing has made me swear and almost wet my pants on several occasions...

Upgrades--wheels and tires, long travel suspension, steering wheel seats, black plastics, and chrome hardware. Did I miss anything babe? Oh, and a custom rear spare tire mount.
