St. George Weekend
Over the MLK weekend Ben and I ditched our kiddos and went to St. George and Zions for some outdoor fun. The weather was perfect--60ish and blue skies. We biked, ran, and hiked the weekend away. We also snuck in a few hours with my parents, which is a rare treat:) Just what we needed.
We did some new rides and Ben finally got to ride his new bike after mending the broken arm and back. That made him happy, and him happy makes me happy

Christmas 2010
Ahh, Christmas was so much fun! The Christmas season is so exhausting, but it's all so much fun and Christmas morning is my favorite. I just love the excitement that my kiddos have and guilty confession--I can't wait to play with some of their toys too! I think the kids had a magical morning, and it was a pleasure to watch.

Faith's Fairy Fashion Fairytale Barbie--say that five times fast. I loved asking her what she wanted because she would spit that out so fast.

Jesse's a big lego man this year. I think legos are great toys too, I just wish they weren't so dang expensive!
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas too. Filled with family, fun, and a chance to celebrate Christ's birth, his life, and most importantly the Atonement--the greatest gift. Happy Holidays!
Mexcio 2010
We went to Mexico the week after Christmas and lapped up some sun and warmth! It's always so great to leave this winter wonderland and enjoy wearing a little less clothes. We went with my parents and Amy and Gary's families and we all had a lot of fun--except that Wyatt and Ivan had a serious case of the "mines". I think they still love each other though.
I was lazy with the camera, and somehow lost my new point and shoot but we caught a few pictures with my phone and I dared bring my big camera down once to the beach.

We rented paddle boards this time for the first time and it was so much fun! The surf was next to none, so it was a good time.

Done!
Ahhhh, after about a year (seriously) I finished making Faiths lamp shade. All it took was a few trips to Roberts, Target, a few special orders on the flowers, months of sitting in my laundry room, and it's done!
Next time I'm coming to you, Pottery Barn. This took way too much time and wasn't that cost effective either. Lesson learned.
December Catch Up
So much to catch up on...
In the beginning of December I ditched my family and went to Hawaii with my siblings, parents, and Angela. I was a fun week by myself. Yes, I felt guitly that I had all the fun, but it was such a great break and it was so fun. I hadn't been to Hawaii since I was nine, so it was great to go back after almost 20 years. --Weird that I can say "20 years ago..." We went to Lanaii-- a teensy Island with one teensy town, and two sister hotels. It was beautiful, best snorkling, best beach, paddle boarded for the first time, went surfing at a secluded beach all to ourselves, touched two sea turtles playing in the surf with us, saw three whales breach way close to us, eat great food, played tennis, hiked, ran, ate pineapple, spent 10hrs a day at the beach. Did I mention it was great? No diapers, no schedules, no one to take care of...
Yes I did come home and was excited to, just a little time to myself was great. I didn't have a camera, just my phone, but a got a few pictures

You can't see in this picture but there are tons, maybe a hundred of dolphins that came to the Hotel's bay to rest each day.

Jesse at his school program. He was a deer. I was so proud of their little program. They did so awesome.

J, myself, and some cousins got our first ski day in for the year.

We've done a little of this.

And we even got to see Santa a few times. The real one!

X- country Skiing
I'm switching it up this winter to keep it interesting. Today I went snowboarding and Monday I went cross country skiing.
Both were so much fun! Cross country is such great exercise and so beautiful! And snowboarding was a humbling challenge. It's just nice to get out and move and breath some fresh air. It's what makes winter tolerable.
Faith had her first day of ski school today too! She did great and loved it. Our prayers were answered.
Strange
I just tried to tried to take what I thought was one of MY hairs off of Hannah's head, but it was attached! Yes she has one random hair on the top of her head that is about 20 times longer than the rest!
I don't know how I never noticed it before.
